T.J. Mousetis

Over a year ago, I felt God was calling me to paint, so I did what most of us do and ignored it for a year. During that year, my family sold our house and most of our stuff, moved to Maui, added another baby girl to our family, and bought a house. It was a wild year, and through all that, I still hadn't started painting but felt the Lord's nudge. I couldn't explain it but couldn't shake it.

So, sitting at my computer one day, I ordered a bunch of painting stuff, not having any idea what I was doing. The last time I had painted artistically was some still life in my first year of college as an art major. I did not graduate as an art major.

My painting supplies started trickling in, and one day, I just started.

My nerves quickly turned into something different. I felt inspired, invigorated, and at peace as I painted. I got emotional like the Lord was opening up a long ignored part of my heart. It's hard to explain, but it was incredible. Once I finished, my wife Brooke said, "That is actually really good." 🤣 So I did another one, and another and another.

I am shocked at how much I enjoy painting. I paint a few times a week in our garage.

There is only so much wall space in our house, so I have decided to sell them with the hopes that they inspire you to listen to those small whispers from the Lord and take steps of faith, as weird as they may seem, into what He is calling you to do.
